Octo the Octopus was playing alone in the sand. Nearby, Starry the Starfish was minding her own business and watching bubbles overhead.
A group of fish zoomed by, making Octo and Starry look at each other and smile.
"Pretty fish," Octo said softly.
"Yes," Starry giggled.
They watched together, happy and quiet. When the fish were gone, they smiled again.
"More tomorrow?" Octo asked.
"Yes, please!" Starry said, nodding.
And just like that, they became friends, watching the sea creatures together when they could.
